MOSCOW, Jan 19 (PRIME) – Russia’s new car sales grew by 3% on the year to 1.5 million units in 2021, research agency Autostat said in a statement on Wednesday.
“Despite problems, which the market encountered last year, including a global deficit in semiconductors and a hike in car prices, the market managed to demonstrate positive dynamics after two years of decline,” the agency said.
Lada retain its biggest share in Russia, the company’s new car sales grew 6.5%. Sales of Korea’s Kia and Hyundai occupied the second and the third positions, although fell around 2%.
